Presented by: Terracon - Joshua Wuenschel, P.E.

1 AIA LU | HSW

This program, worth 1 AIA LU | HSW, will include an overview of problem areas for infiltration of the building enclosure and an explanation of field test methods used in building envelope commissioning.

Learning Objectives Include:

  1. Identify components of the Building Enclosure that restrict air and water infiltration and how they can help prevent mold growth in the interior of buildings by identifying the proper placement of those components.
  2. Understand the health and safety risks of building enclosure design flaws and construction defects.
  3. Develop an understanding of Hygrothermics (WUFI) and how this area of science can identify areas of potential condensation within building enclosure systems to build a healthier space for building occupants.
  4. Identify the types of field quality assurance tests that can be utilized to document installation of building enclosure components and systems.

Cost:  FREE* - Lunch and Drinks are provided for AIA members and NCARB AXP participants.
