March 6, 2018 Presbytery Meeting
Dear Presbyterians and friends,
I am excited to invite you to the next meeting of the Presbytery on March 6, 2018 at Forest Park Presbyterian Church in New Berlin. The theme for this meeting is Risk taking for the sake of the gospel. After working through our business, we will hear from and about people taking risks, highlighting things heard and experienced at the national NEXT Church gathering, as well as learn ways which we can take risks.
Following our time of learning and growing, we will take time for fellowship and food provided by our friends at Forest Park.
Finally we will round out our evening with worship. Jesus speaks to us in parables that dare us to do more, see a new perspective, or try something foolish in the eyes of the world. Our worship will be an exploration of some of Jesus' risk-taking parables and will challenge how we are stewards of the gospel.
Our offering will go to support New Worshiping Communities, one of the tools our denomination provides to explore new opportunities to connect and share the gospel amongst ourselves and with others.
Are you willing to take a risk and come to the next Presbytery meeting? I hope you are!
