SCORE Fox Valley Business Plan Workshop 

 

Beginning April 20, 2018 There are 6 Sessions on Fridays: April 20, April 27, May 4, May 11, May 18 and May 25, 2018. All sessions run 9:00AM – 11:00AM. As a bonus you will also receive a thumb drive with the entire workshop presentation and more.

You are invited to this unique workshop that is back by popular demand This workshop is targeted at two types of SCORE clients:

· In-Business Clients – Review where you are and update areas that need to be improved or changed to grow your business profitably.

· Startups – Develop your business plan from A to Z under the tutelage of SCORE experts.

Participants will develop and review all the key sections of a business plan and will learn how to tailor a plan to their business needs. Homework is required.

All attendees will be provided with individualized support by SCORE mentors before, during and after class. We will help you walk out with an action plan to move your business forward, and we will be there to work with you after the workshop is completed.

Attendees who complete all six sessions will leave with a complete and thorough business plan.

Instructors are both Certified SCORE Mentors: Sessions 1 through 3:

Tom Drouin had an extended career in the paper industry with two of the largest North American paper manufacturers, and has extensive experience in senior management – with focus in identifying and launching new businesses within adjacent and new markets.

Key skills are business planning and strategy. Tom also has extensive experience in sales and sales management, marketing and manufacturing. In addition to volunteering as a SCORE mentor, Tom professionally coaches and mentors business professionals on business and interpersonal skills.

Sessions 4 through 6:

Harry Eng (CPA, EA, MBA) is a financial executive and expert on federal and state taxation. He has over 40 years of experience both in the military and as a Fortune 50 corporate executive, Certified Public Accountant and Enrolled Agent. He holds a BS in Accounting from the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana and an MBA in Comptrollership from Syracuse University in New York.

He currently prepares tax returns for individual and small businesses, helps tax clients resolve issues with the IRS and Illinnois Dept. of Revenue, is a Fellow of the National Tax Payer Institute and a Certified Business Mentor.
