Business Risk & Peace of Mind:
"The Nuts & Bolts
of Business Insurance"

Wednesday, April 11, 2018

As an emerging or current business owner, insurance can be a considerable source of confusion. Join us as this Business Essentials workshop provides an understanding of the different insurance coverages that are available to business owners.

More importantly, we’ll discuss the insurance protection that business owners need to have peace of mind that their business is properly insured in the event of a claim.

We’ll cover property, liability, auto, workers compensation, umbrella and then some very specialized coverages such as Employment Practice Liability, Data and Cyber Breach, Third Party Discrimination coverage and more.

This is a great overview with some clear guidance from one of our communities most experienced business insurance executives. And, it’s at no charge!

Beth D. Jones, CIC:
Our presenter, Beth Jones, is an insurance advisor with Dyste Williams Agency in Minneapolis MN. She has written several property/casualty courses and teaches for NAIFA, the MIIA, Childcare associations and at Town Hall meetings teaching Errors and Omissions Insurance to agents.

In 1981, Beth joined the insurance industry writing specific types of horse related insurance products. She moved on to work at an insurance company, the largest broker in the USA and then found her niche on the agency side. Beth received her CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor Designation) in 1990 and was the recipient of the Minnesota Young Agent of the Year award in 1993 as well as numerous other awards over her career. In 1998 Beth started a ‘scratch’ independent insurance agency. With just an office and a computer, she grew the agency from zero clients to over 1300 before merging her agency in 2016.  Merging has allowed her to get back into sales and helping clients with their insurance needs. Her passion is to help people understand their insurance needs and the policies that they are purchasing, making each experience for the client a positive experience. Volunteering is also a large part of her life from helping at a battered women and children’s shelter to serving on several board of directors including a non-profit clinic.
