Using Quick Books to successfully manage your small business.

This workshop provides hands-on basic training in the use of QuickBooks Online accounting software. Through a demonstration and hands-on format, you’ll get an overview of how to effectively use QuickBooks from the perspective of a small business owner.

We will cover the following subjects as they apply to your company:

  1. Products & Services setup
  2. Generate invoices
  3. Receive payments
  4. Make deposits
  5. Pay bills
  6. Write checks
  7. Generate accounting reports and financial statements
  8. Customizing financial reports
  9. Account reconciliation
  10. Journal entries

This is an interactive session, and participants are encouraged to bring a fully
-charged laptop and download QuickBooks Online Essentials version via a free 30-day trial to get hands-on experience during class.

Presenter:Tim Hunter is the retired Chief Executive Officer of Hunter Capital Markets, LLC, a broker dealer and proprietary trading firm he founded in 2003, involved in Statistical Arbitrage and Algorithmic trading. Tim was with Goldman Sachs & Co. from 1999 to 2002, there he was responsible for the electronic market-making of Exchange Traded Funds products. Tim is a Certified Public Accountant and has completed all course work for an M.A. in Economics from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
