Tele-health for Behavioral Health Integration in Primary Care

The Massachusetts Health Policy Commission (HPC) will host a peer-to-peer knowledge sharing session on strategies for incorporating tele-behavioral health into primary care settings. This event is scheduled for April 12, 2018 from 8:30-10 a.m. at the Massachusetts Health and Hospital Association Conference Center in Burlington, MA and is designed for health care professionals and primary care practices interested in initiating a tele-health program to support behavioral health integration.

Tele-health tools and technologies offer opportunities to expand access to behavioral health care, build provider behavioral health capabilities, and offer more patient-centered care. Representatives from provider organizations will discuss models and strategies for using tele-health to support behavioral health integration into primary care settings and will also explore operational considerations for starting tele-behavioral health programs. The session will feature a panel presentation followed by a discussion period.  Confirmed panelists include:

  • Dr. Michael Yogman and Susan Betjemann, MSW, LICSW, Yogman Pediatric Associates
  • Dr. Jonas Bromberg, Psy.D., Pediatric Physicians’ Organization at Boston Children’s Hospital
  • Daniel Hogan MPH, LICSW, Codman Square Health Center
