Join NAMI-NYS for a lovely evening as we work to create a brighter day for people and families touched by mental illness. This unique event taking place at Glennpeter Jewelers will allow attendees to learn more about the realities of mental illness as well as participate in a Chinese raffle (for a chance to win prizes from throughout the Capital Region), a silent auction and wine and dine all to benefit NAMI-NYS.
There will be complimentary food and all bar and raffle ticket proceeds will benefit NAMI-NYS.
This Year's Event Will Be Dedicated to Our Dear Friend
Vicki Moorehead
Those who have atteneded the event in the past will surely remember our dear friend Vicki Moorehead and her book "The Raw Truth" which chronicles the challenges of living with OCD.
Sadly, Vicki passed away earlier this year and we are holding this year's event to honor Vicki's memory and her dedication to raising awarneness.
Kick Off NAMIWalks NYS!!!
Learn how you can Join the Movement and participate in the 2018 NAMIWalk NYS. The event will serve as the official kick-off for the Walk taking place on September 29th. NAMIWalks are designed to raise awareness of mental health, reduce stigma and support NAMI-NYS.
The Event Will Also Feature:
- Cupcakes from Treatie Beatie Cake Shop
- A program which will include people and families detailing how mental illness has impacted their lives and how they have worked towards recovery and a brighter day. NAMI-NYS will also explain how we help educate and support those touched by mental illness and guide them towards a brighter day.
- Information on how to participate in the NAMI-NYS Ribbon Campaign.
- 100% of all raffle and bar sales will be donated to NAMI-NYS.
- Complimentary food.
