Wholesale-Retail Fashion Bootcamp

Who should attend?
People starting a retail or wholesale business in the fashion industry, who are already in the business and need new strategies to regain clients lost to competition, or who want to understand the impact of their brand’s DNA on their customers and how consumers view them in the marketplace.

Overview

This workshop will take you through the fashion industry by discussing the 5 main issues facing the fashion business today: American income categories, pricing for profit, Brand DNA, customer engagement, and social media as a marketing tool, not a stand-alone strategy. It will also describe the 5 Ps of Marketing: Product, Pricing, Placement, Promotion and Publics.

A Keynote presentation and video will focus on the currently competitive environment, including the impact of pricing and distribution strategies, creation or enhancement of your brand’s DNA, and inventory strategies. The class will encourage people to start their businesses with full knowledge of its challenges in the marketplace as well as providing insight into keeping competitive in that environment.

At the end of the workshop, you will have the knowledge to:

  • Describe the importance of omni-channel distribution strategies
  • Summarize how “showrooming” and discount pricing have made it a tighter marketplace
  • Discuss inventory management and how it can differentiate your fashion brand from competition
  • Clarify why you cannot compete with Amazon
  • Explain why social media are not a strategy, but a marketing tool
  • Specify how to make your brand stand out in a crowd without having to reinvent the wheel
