Speaker Biography

Ed Thum’s career with IBM spanned over 35 years where he held leadership positions in Marketing, Finance, Sales, Supply Chain Management and Operations.  Before retiring in December 2013, was responsible for the development and execution of Rational Software’s worldwide product strategy and marketing activities. Currently, he teaches Marketing, Management, and Leadership full time at Wake Tech, is a guest lecturer at NC State and consults in the areas of management and marketing.  Ed has a BS in Management/Organizational Behavior & Industrial Relations and an MBA in Financial Management.
