SCORE and SBDC have joined forces to offer a series of workshops that will build a strong foundation of skills to START A NEW BUSINESS. May 22-June 26 on Tuesdays from 1-3:30 p.m.at WMed innovation Center.

Based on our feedback from small business clients, we compiled a series of workshop sessions that will build a strong foundation of skills to start a new business. Completion of the workshop series will help satisfy the core questions involved in starting a business and build a springboard to future success.

June 5  | Legal Aspects of Building a Business
How you structure your business from a legal perspective is important so you can protect your assets, minimize your taxes, and maximize your profits.

June 12  | Options for Funding Your Business
Get the inside scoop from this course designed for new and existing small-business owners and those interested in learning about lending in today’s market.

June 19 |  General Accounting Principles 
Without tracking financial information like sales, cash flow and receivables, you have no sense of whether your business is succeeding or failing. This is a HANDS-ON-Workshop, so bring your computer or tablet; paper forms will be available.

June 26  | Getting Started with Social Media
This session will take away some of the mystery behind using social media effectively and show you how to create the right  mix of social and digital tools.
