SCORE "Counselors to America's Small Business" is a nonprofit association dedicated to educating entrepreneurs and helping small business start, grow and succeed nationwide.  SCORE is a resource partner of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).

SCORE is headquartered in Herndon, VA and Washington, DC and has over 300 chapters throughout the United States and its territories with 11,000+ volunteers nationwide.  Both working and retired executives and business owners donate time and expertise as business mentors.  Now celebrating it's 54rd year of service to American entrepreneurs, SCORE was founded in 1964.

Business Plan Basics

This workshop will cover an overview of Business Plan design and, more importantly, the principal underlying reason for even doing a Business Plan in the first place.  We'll touch on several of the key Business Plan essentials outlined in the Business Model Canvas approach to planning and leave plenty of time for questions.  We'll also cover the many free resources available to you through both SCORE and the Longview Library.

SCORE volunteers will be on hand and can assist you with future free business mentoring if desired.  The Workshop has been funded by the Friends of the Longview Library.  There is no charge but advance registration is advised to assure sufficient seating.

Your Discussion Leader will be Arthur Wm. "Bill" Ruttledge, a 40+ year veteran of the financial services industry during which he consulted entrepreneurial small businesses and major non-profit institutions & publically held corporations.  Bill has been active with SCORE for the past nine years.
