EVENT DETAILS

Grape Day registration and a breakfast sponsored by the American Vineyard magazine will begin at 7:00 am on the shaded lawn area.

The program will begin at 7:30 am with a welcome, special announcements, and introductions. 

Morning presentations will be held indoors.  For tours and activities, we recommend bringing a hat and sunscreen.  Water stations will be available.  If special accommodations are required, please indicate on the registration form.

Directions

For easy access, exit Hwy 168 at Shaw Avenue.  Travel west on Shaw Avenue to Chestnut and turn north.  At the Chestnut-Barstow roundabout, exit west  onto Barstow Avenue.  The viticulture & enology facilities are on the north side of Barstow, surrounded by the Fresno State Vineyards.

Parking:  Grape Day participants may park in any yellow or green parking lot on the Fresno State campus with a coutresy parking code.   This courtesy code and instructions will be provided to all registrants prior to the event via email.   Without a courtesy code, parking on the Fresno State campus is $3 per vehicle.  We recommend parking in Lot P20, just west of the Department of Viticulture & Enology on Barstow.

WHAT IS GRAPE DAY ?

  • An informal workshop and field day at Fresno State for grape growers, managers, winemakers, and winery personnel
  • This affordable half-day event is held every other year on the Fresno State campus
  • The program includes updates and practical presentations on current grape and wine topics
  • This year's attendees will get to meet and learn more about our newest faculty, staff, and team
  • Attend Grape Day to learn more about the ways our program serves the grape and wine industry and continues to prepare students for leadership roles
