Overcome the Fear of Business Planning: Create Your One Page Business Plan (Lean Canvas)

In the last few years the lean canvas has become the preferred business plan of thousands of entrepreneurs, universities, accelerators and groups inside big organizations. It is even taught by the leading business schools around the world. Traditional business plans require hours of research and writing, take too long and are seldom updated. Worst of all, once written, no one updates them and they cease to be useful. The lean stack business plan is a one page iteration of your business idea that you will keep refining until it fits your customer’s needs and until you feel confident it will work.

  Key Topics:

  1. List your target customers and users.
  2. List your customers’ top 3 problems.
  3. Define your revenue streams.
  4. Outline your solution for each problem.
  5. Design a unique value proposition message.
  6. List your paths to finding your customers.
  7. List the key numbers indicating how your business is doing.
  8. List your fixed and variable costs.
  9. What is your unfair advantage, what makes your business not easily copied.

 Learning Outcomes:

To capture your business idea with your first canvas. During this workshop you will create your own canvas in 20-30 minute exercises which you will be able to refine through several iterations later. The point of this exercise is to get a more focused idea on the feasibility of your business driven by solving your customer’s problems.

  Cost is $35.

This workshop will be conducted as a Lecture/Workshop with opportunities for questions and answers

Seating is limited.  Pre-registration is suggested.
