Negotiating Better Outcomes

People negotiate every day, but are usually not conscious that they are negotiating. Most negotiations are relatively trivial. The thought of negotiating with a trained negotiator though, brings out apprehension in some people and overt aggression in others. Neither of these emotions help people reaches an agreement.

Paradoxically, negotiating with a trained negotiated helps you reach an agreement, especially if you have had some training yourself. Trained negotiators understand the rules of negotiating which help them get the best possible deal for themselves (or their company), while ensuring that the other party signs up for the deal. In essence, trained negotiators are problem solvers.

In this 2-hour session you will learn the basic rules of negotiating, you will take part in fun exercises, and you will leave the session equipped to begin “negotiating better outcomes” for yourself.

Presenter: Barry Fowell Dr. Fowell has significantly grown businesses on three continents profitably, most recently as President of an engineering software company. He is founder of B2B Sales Mentor, a company that helps stalled or startup companies grow revenue. He has significant experience and robust networks in the automotive and aerospace industries. He is a SCORE mentor dedicated to giving back by helping entrepreneurial start-ups. His doctorate is in engineering
