Playwright Ben Engel explores the struggles of King Solomon, a true Jewish great during tumultuous times, who merged G-d-given wisdom and political power, with mixed results. In 'Philosopher King', the audience experiences King Solomon's conflict over trying to please his royal Egyptian wife, while wooing the alluring Queen of Sheba, and his questioning the meaning of his life despite his many accomplishments.
