Clean Creeks, Healthy Neighborhoods Forum

For many Montgomery County local leaders, dealing with stormwater is a tremendous challenge.

At the same time, townships and boroughs are finding a way to transform that challenge into opportunity. Opportunity for investment in clean water that brings with it many community benefits.

Yes, regulatory requirements mean communities must invest in stormwater management, but when innovative practices are deployed, these investments can catalyze cleaner, greener communities, and more engaged and supportive residents.

Join us for an evening at the beautiful Sisters of St. Basil Spirituality Center to explore the many resources available to municipalities, hear success stories from townships making green infrastructure work for them, and see how others are facing challenges in funding and regulatory compliance.

Together, we’ll share good food and hear about a range of ways that elected officials and staff are leveraging green infrastructure for good environmental, financial and community outcomes.

Our guests include Jody Holton (Executive Director, Montgomery County Planning Commission) Brian Havir, PP, AICP (Manager, Cheltenham Township), Susan Harris (Cerulean, LLC and Project Manager, Tookany-Tacony Watershed Partnership), and many other elected and staff leaders.
