Accounting Fundamental for Small Business Owners

This workshop provides an overview of accounting fundamentals for small business owners and those planning to start a small business. The workshop will help you understand what is important for you to know and/or be aware of in the world of accounting and bookkeeping. Topics include the role of a bookkeeper vs. an accountant vs. a CPA, choice of business entity, financial statements and their basis, what is bookkeeping vs. accounting, and choosing an accounting software application.

This workshop is sponsored by SCORE Boston. This workshop is presented by SCORE Mentor  Eric Saunders who is a SCORE mentor and CPA. He retired in 2016 from a public accounting firm. Eric’s career involved audit, accounting, tax, and advisory services to numerous individuals and businesses.
