This introductory workshop "Start-up Basics" focuses on the concept of testing your business idea and identifying the key factors that influence start-up success. Start-up Basics provides you with an overview of the skills and tools you need when deciding to start a business.

In this module, you will introduced to:

*advantages and disadvantages of owning a business
*most profitable legal form for your business
*the fundamentals of formation
*organization
*marketing
*cash flow 
*funding sources

The workshop will be taught by SCORE volunteers and partners.  SCORE volunteers help entrepreneurs start small businesses and achieve new levels of success in their existing venture.  Volunteering at SCORE is a way to give back to the community, passing on knowledge and expertise to the next generation of entrepreneurs.  Workshops help small business owners meet their goals and achieve success.
