40:3000

On average, churches have 40 hours during the year to talk with children about God. Families have more than 3000 hours available to talk about God and share family stories versus. Yet families often do not take advantage of this opportunity.

Parents, grandparents and guardians are often afraid to talk about God and their faith. Sometimes they feel unprepared. Sometimes they do not know where to start. Regardless, they need help - your help!
Stories of God at Home: A Godly Play Approach is a framework that empowers adults to bring the story and wonder of the Godly Play method to a family’s dining table or perhaps campfire.

Join Lee Dickson, Executive Director of the Godly Play Foundation and us for this webinar which will introduce the Stories of God at Home program, review resources that are available and discuss ways to bring this practice to your hurch or school.
Together we will wonder about ways to help families weave their family stories with faith stories.

Faith Formation Connect is a monthly resource for everyone interested in Faith Formation: paid and unpaid, part time and full time, laity and clergy. It began in 2015 when Emily Keniston applied for a Sowing Seeds grant to create a forum for faith formation leaders to share hopes, dreams, insights, challenges and mutual support. In addition to a monthly webinar, there is a Facebook page for ongoing conversation.  It is a partnership between the Episcopal Province of New England and the Maine Christian Education Collaborative.

Future webinars can be found on the Province I website. The site also contains a special section devoted to faith formation ministries.  Soon it will include links to recordings of Faith Formation Connect webinars as well as other resources. (NOTE: Newer programs will be posted asap. Thank you for your patience.)
