It's Ok to Argue! -- Strategies to Transform Negative Situation into a Positive

A free SCORE Small Business Workshop co-sponsored by The Edith Wheeler Memorial (Monroe) Library and the Monroe Chamber of Commerce

When referring to being in an argument, our imagination may envision an animated verbal battle in which accusations, insults and elevated blood pressure are natural side effects. Though such emotional conditions are possible, the true definition of an argument suggests engaging in civil discourse in an effort to solve problems and make decisions.

You will learn:

  • the technical components of an argument
  • why we argue
  • how arguing can be effectively used to resolve disputes
  • ways in which successful arguing can influence behavior
  • how arguing can (and should be) used as a sales tool
