Tax Planning for Your Small Business 

Why pay too much or too little in taxes?

Who should attend?
Small business owners and start-ups who want to effectively implement a strategy to pay their Federal, NYS and NYC taxes.

Overview

As a business owner, you don't want to pay more taxes than necessary.You also don’t want to pay less than the law requires. This workshop describes ways to maximize business deductions, where, when and how to file, planningto minimize your tax bill and the most current tax laws. 

At the end of this workshop, you will be able to: 

  • Define Federal, NYS and NYC filing requirements 
  • List techniques to maximize your business deductions 
  • Describe home office deduction guidelines and strategies 
  • Outline the link between your business tax returns and your personal tax filings 
  • Enumerate planning tips to help minimize your tax bill 
  • Discuss the importance of keeping good records 
  • Summarize the tax benefits of starting a retirement plan

Facilitator and Instructor:  Andrew C. Presti

Andrew Presti founded Presti & Naegele (www.pntax.com) in 1982, where is now Senior Partner. P & N is an accounting and technology consulting firm that provides accounting, auditing, payroll and tax services to small and larger businesses.  The firm employs 35 full time accountants and has a varied client base in multiple industries. It is the largest QuickBooks consulting organization in New York City.

Andrew has been preparing tax returns for 35 years and is currently an IRS Enrolled Agent. He is a CEO of Metropolitan Archives, a company that services the real estate industry. He co-founded First Central Savings Bank where he serves on the Board of Directors and is a member of the Executive, Investment, Audit, Corporate Governance and IT Committees.  He received a Bachelor of Science Degree from St. John’s University.
