GET YOUR BUSINESS IN SHAPE FOR THE FUTURE WITH BUSINESS BOOT CAMP

Spend the morning with basic and advanced training on franchising, communication and funding presented by Ocean County SCORE, US Small Business Administration & Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce at the Holiday Inn/Mainland Manahawkin

 -- Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce invites all businesses to attend the Fall Business Boot Camp to be held on Tuesday, October 16 . Presented by Ocean County SCORE and the US Small Business Administration at the Holiday Inn/ Mainland  Manahawkin from 8 am to 1pm. Add this to your schedule if you own a business, are thinking of starting a business in Southern Ocean County or if you manage employees. Event will begin with full breakfast and networking with business and new business growth track seminars that include Franchising 101 , Preparing Email Communications, Financing Your Business through the SBA and more.

The cost of the program is $10 per person and will include presentations from notable speakers including  Robert Goodyear, a seasoned franchise system manager with extensive experience in business development for franchise small box retail and home based service business format franchises. Mr. Goodyear joined 7-Eleven as an executive trainee and rose to Zone Mgr. with responsibility for 200 franchise units in Pa and NJ, served as VP Retail for Dollar General Corp and Parker Management before joining Texaco Refining and Marketing as Manager of Franchise Programs. After retiring from Texaco/Shell Oil Company, Mr. Goodyear joined Lawn Doctor Inc. where he was Director of Franchise Development. Marsha Pearson who has a wealth of knowledge in business development, professional training and corporate communications. She will use those tools to help small businesses and non profits define and achieve success. In addition to operating a retail store, she has spoken to audiences throughout the country on digital marketing and its application in today's business environment. Sheryl Paynter,  Lead Lender Relations & Economic Development Specialists for the US SBA who has assisted hundreds of small businesses through the loan process and funding matches. John Mendes, CFP will present a workshop on setting up business exit strategy whether voluntary or involuntary.  The Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce will be there to welcome the attendees and provide local business development programming and schedules for a variety of upcoming events.

Business Boot Camp sign in will begin at 8am at the Holiday Inn/Mainland located at 151 Rt 72 E Manahawkin.
