Targeting and Reaching Prospective Customers 

Innovative Tools to Find Customers and Clients

Who Should Attend?  
Small business owners who are not always comfortable with the customer identification and outreach process. Emphasis will be on service companies such as consulting and coaching, or any new business owner who needs help finding customers. This workshop is not part of the SCORENYC sales course curriculum, but could serve as a valuable springboard for any sales class.

Overview

As a small business owner, it is normal for you to be apprehensive about looking for new customers, once called “cold calling”. Fortunately, today there are many online tools and innovative techniques that make this process much easier. 

This informative workshop will explore online tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Twitter, Zoho and others that enable you to target your likely customers.

At the end of the workshop, you will have the knowledge to: 

  • Describe techniques, or a “how to” for reaching prospective customers
  • Identify your business’s ideal customer profile (ICP)
  • Develop a process to reach out to your target customer and look for further business
  • Discuss techniques for developing and tracking progress on your prospect list
  • Identify tools and utilization steps necessary to make prospecting more efficient and less demanding, enhancing your chances for success

Instructors:

Tim Contado 
Seasoned marketer with experience in CPG and food products. Marketing and sales executive with cinema advertising company. Expert in business management, advertising and marketing strategy, media and entertainment, and new product development. Experience in recruiting, public relations, and retail.  

Lee Simonson
Former president of a sales and marketing consulting firm. Started up and managed two multi-million dollar businesses with an expertise in strategic planning, marketing, and sales development as well as in managing small and medium sized businesses.
