IMPORTING INTO THE U.S.A.

This workshop will help you acquire the knowledge and the skill sets that are unique to importing. If you have a plan to import or now importing and need a refresher, the information provided in this session will assist you to have a good foundation of the knowledge needed to jumpstart your import operation.

This workshop is just $35.

At the end of this workshop you should be able to:

  • Identify skill sets you need to start an import business
  • Learn the steps in a typical import transaction process
  • Examine Customs Modernization ACT., the process for classifying your products, valuation, record keeping, marking and the benefits of Free Trade Agreements
  • Understand Informal & Formal Customs Entry and documents required
  • Learn payment option/risks, Landed Cost and Incoterms® 2010
  • Understand what you should tell your exporter before you import
  • Locate importing resources including the roles of Customs and Custom House Brokers.
