How Does the New Tax Law Affect You?

An overview for business owners | Ideas for 1099 Subcontractors to Save Money on Taxes

Join us for an interactive session with our tax specialist Marc Schnoll, who will be focusing on how you can save money in the upcoming tax season, especially in situations that deal with new tax laws. Marc makes "The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act", a document worth 1,100 pages, easy to interpret.

WHY do you want to ATTEND THIS WORKSHOP?

As a small business owner, are you concerned about how the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act will impact you?
- How can you take advantage of the new 20% business income deduction?
- Are you properly classifying your workers (employee or independent contractor)?
- Are you fully utilizing depreciation?
- Are you confident you chose the best business entity?
This workshop will give you an overview of some of the most important changes within the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act that will affect business owners.

OVERVIEW OF THE WORKSHOP

The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act is over 1,100 pages long. Condensing all of that information is a challenge, however, our tax specialist will discuss some of the most important changes that will impact business, including:
- Qualified Business Income Deduction (199A)
- Tax Rates
- Tax Credits
- Employee vs. Independent Contractor
- Depreciation Rules
- Choice of Business Entity

This interactive workshop will include a short presentation and plenty of time for your questions. The workshop will be led by Marc Schnoll, CPA and Certified Tax Coach, of Sexton & Schnoll, CPAs. Sexton & Schnoll has served the small business community of North-Central Florida since 2004.
