Income Tax Basics for the Small Business

As a small business owner knowing the basics of taxes will help save you money and potentially keep you out of trouble. In this class we will discuss business entities and the different forms for each. We will talk about what is deductible and what is not and where to you use them. How profits and distributions effect your tax bill and many other important subjects that you should know as a business owner.

Alan is an Enrolled Agent with over 20 years of tax preparation experience in the San Francisco Bay Area. He has built a practice specializing in individual, small business taxpreparation and audit representation. Having represented hundreds of returns inaudits Alan has obtained tremendous insight of the audit process as well as taxknowledge on a wide variety of tax issues. His volunteering for S.C.O.R.E for over 15 years speaking on topics of business tax and record keeping, has given him an opportunity to help many new businesses get started and ongoing businesses with issues and planning for future growth.
