Boards are fundamental keys to nonprofit success. We will explore fundamental documents, bylaws, how to recruit board members and key roles. A fundamental issue is governance which includes doing strategy planning and fundraising. The board is a big key to the success of your organization. We will also discuss management and staff roles.

Dr. John Edwards received his PhD in Solid State Physics from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. John has 20 years’ experience as a counselor, mentor and lecturer for small businesses owners, both for profit and nonprofit. He has worked with and has helped more than 1000 business owners in all stages of the business cycle—from startup, growth, and turn-around to sale.
John specializes in helping nonprofit businesses and teaches numerous business courses and seminars that emphasize innovation, entrepreneurship and business-planning needs for both profit and nonprofit businesses. He also has more than 25 years’ experience in all aspects of the semiconductor industry
