For individuals over 50 and aspiring new entrepreneurs, SCORE Houston, in cooperation with Small Business Administration, present a workshop on Starting and Funding a Business.

The work shop will stimulate entrepreneurship for the 50+ group.  Encore entrepreneurs, individuals over the age of 50, are one of the fastest growing groups of business owners. Currently there are over 76 million people over the age of 50 in the country, and many of them are interested in and poised to be entrepreneurs. New research has found that one in four Americans between the ages 44 and 70 are interested in starting their own business.

Every Small Business starts with a dream. It takes research, planning, funding and implementation strategies. In this workshop, steps to start a business, choosing the right legal structure and where to look for funding the same will be briefly outlined.
