The Water for Life Reception supports Water For People's mission to alleviate community development challenges through creative water and sanitation investments. Water For People commits to developing and monitoring programs in these communities to keep water flowing for every family, school, and clinic with the ultimate goal that the communities, governments, and the local private sector will not need Water For People -- or any other nonprofit -- for their water and sanitation challenges in the future.

Millions of people still don't have access to safe water and sanitation resources. Together, we can Change That.

Please join us April 13, 2019 at the Seattle Mountaineers Club near Magnuson Park, Seattle. The evening will feature delicious food, live music, silent auction and hosted wine and beer to help make the dream of safe water and sanitation a reality around the world.

We are excited to welcome Steve Deem from the Washington State Department of Health as our keynote speaker for the evening. Steve is a regional engineer with the WA DOH, and has 30+ years of experience in water and sanitation issues encompassing a multitude of settings - from the Kurdish refugee camps in Northern Iraq to pose-war rehabilitation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and from simple pipe networks in the slums of Dhaka, Bangledesh, to research efforts on the ultraviolet disinfection with the Water Research Foundation. He also served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Nepal. He received his MS degree in environmental engineering from the University of Wasthington and his BS degree in civil engineering from Marquette University.
