This workshop is designed for newly-certified 8(a) companies and those companies that have been in the program but wish to better utilize their certification. It provides real-life, tested, and proven strategies, as well as practical advice, on how to position your 8(a) business to obtain government contracts, and an overview of the required infrastructure. Subcontracting, partnering, bidding, and market analysis and other subjects will be discussed.  

Instructor Bio:  Mike Perch

Michael Perch is a noted author, lecturer and subject matter expert in the fields of federal and state public procurement, finance and accounting and management. He is the founder and owner of Road Map Consulting (RMC), a management consulting firm that provides consultation, advisory services and executive level training solutions to organizations worldwide.

As a Certified SCORE Mentor, Michael  addresses important topics such as Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification, how to propose and negotiate major Government Wide Acquisition Contracts such as GSA Schedules, how to qualify for SBA certification programs and various Federal Government Business Development topics..

Michael has experience providing consulting, financial advisory, and audit services to companies and organizations that range from small to middle market to the Fortune 100.   Michael has in-­depth experience with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (“FAR”), the Cost Accounting Standards (“CAS”), Office of Management and Budget (“OMB”) Circulars and other Federal government procurement regulations. His expertise includes working with companies in a variety of industries, including professional services, defense, information technology, telecommunications, biotech, higher education and not-­for-­profit organizations.
