Boundary Awareness Training
for Laity
Authorized Ministers in the United Church of Christ are required to attend triennial Boundary Awareness Training to maintain ministerial standing, but this training is not specifically deliverd to laity. This session is expressly geared for church leaders of congregations who are in pastoral transition. Integrating current clergy boundary awareness information, particularly with boundaries during pastoral transitions, the goal of this training is to help laity better understand clergy boundaries. Leadership development and knowledge of the ethics of ministry is essential, especially during times of pastoral transition. This training is a framework for a conversation with laity so that healthy/healthier relationships will occur, not only with the departing pastor, but also with new pastoral leadership.
No Fee (clergy do not receive BAT credit)
