ARC Bluewater Weekend 2019

in Lymington, UK

in association with

Berthon International Yacht Brokers

Online registration is open

If you are dreaming of sailing across oceans, then the ARC Bluewater Weekend, is for you. If your aim is to go offshore cruising and you want to know what to look for when choosing a bluewater cruising boat, then come along and join us for this free to attend event. If you are in the boat search phase of your count-down to offshore cruising, then the Bluewater Weekend will provide the knowledge to help make the right choice of boat, plan a refit, and manage the costs of cruising, as well as meeting and mingling with experienced bluewater cruisers to share their knowledge and gain inspiration, all in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.

"Great weekend; great mix of people; and a number of boats to have a nose around. A really worthwhile event for anyone starting to plan a blue water cruising trip.” - Chris Regnart, 2018 visitor

"I was extremely pleased listening to all the talks and chatting to other people in the knowledge that all the research and planning that I have already done was on par with so many other people with the same or similar dreams. The weekend gave me a real sense of the dream coming together and in the right way. Our next stage is to finally put the date in our diary when it will all happen and that is very exciting." John Howard, 2018 visitor

“Having the opportunity to sit one to one with the ARC organisers who have seen every boat, every budget and every family setup and discuss our own personal hurdles with such positivity has given us the confidence to persevere and realise that it isn’t a pipe dream but a real possibility.” -  Joanna Saayman, 2018 visitor

More Information....

A range of different styles and layouts of fully fitted offshore cruising boats will be on display for you to visit, supported by a series of talks on key aspects of bluewater boat selection and how to go bluewater cruising. Speaking sessions are staggered throughout the weekend, allowing plenty of time to view boats, discuss equipment requirements, and chat with experienced bluewater cruisers.

Throughout the weekend there will be a chance to mingle with industry experts and other cruising sailors. Previous World Cruising Club rally participants are invited to bring their own boats to the weekend, and share their personal experiences offering “open boat” viewing to other cruisers.

Get the Conversation Going - stay for dinner!

To keep the conversation flowing, there will be a sailing-supper held on the Saturday evening at the Lymington Town Sailing Club, as an option for those staying for the whole weekend. Three courses £25 per person.

The weekend is free to attend, with advance registration. Visitors bringing their own boats to the event will need to reserve and pay for boat docking. The Saturday evening dinner is optional and charged separately.
