Accounting for Small Businesses

This workshop provides an overview of accounting fundamentals for small business owners and those planning to start a small business. The workshop will help you understand what is important for you to know and/or be aware of in the world of accounting and bookkeeping. Topics include the role of a bookkeeper vs. an accountant vs. a CPA, choice of business entity, financial statements and their basis, what is bookkeeping vs. accounting, and choosing an accounting software application.

The workshop is presented by Gloria Spence and Eric Saunders. Gloria was the former Director of Finance- Northeast Region for Hearst Television (WCVB TV). Eric Saunders is a CPA and retired in 2016 after a long career with a public accounting firm.
