Shakespeare Lecture with Dr. David Goldstein

Join Congregation Sha’are Shalom as we welcome Dr. David Goldstein. Dr. Goldstein will unpack the anti-semitism of the Merchant of Venice through close attention to how Shakespeare uses the Bible. As a bonus, he'll explore the relationship between Judaism and Christianity in the English Renaissance.

Dr. David Goldstein is Associate Professor of English at York University, Toronto. He is also currently Co-Director of the Before 'Farm to Table' project at the Folger Shakespeare Library on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC.
