Parents of Children with a

Diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder

For many families, receiving a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder for their child can be anxiety producing and leave them wondering what to do next. NJACE is here to provide useful information about navigating the early years.

Join us for this event specifically for parents of children between the ages of one and six with an Autism Spectrum Disorder diagnosis. Talk to experts, experienced parents, educators, and others about what families need and get important information about your child's early developmental. Being educated about the steps you can take after receiving a diagnosis can help!

This is an opportunity to learn from the experts and exchange thoughts and information with others sharing similar concerns. Our goal is to identify the gaps and additional information needed by families at this point in their child's life.

Experts in research, speech and language, sensory integration, early intervention, insurance policies and issues, and more will be speaking and available to help answer your questions. We want to provide a holistic view of how you can best help your child.

In order to help NJACE better understand what information is missing for families when they first receive the ASD diagnosis, surveys will be distributed before and after the event.  The responses will help NJACE develop better resources and learn how to best convey information.

This event and parking are free of charge, and lunch is included.
