Diversity and Inclusion
for Business Success


This workshop will help participants examine diversity in a broad way including identifying various aspects of diversity and intersectionality. Participants will explore the origins of bias and the impact of unconscious biases to interactions with others and decision-making. Participants will leave the workshop with action plans to help create and sustain inclusive communities that positively embrace cultural differences.

Presenters: Yvette C. Owens and Edwina G. Cogdell

Yvette C. Owens: Over 38 years of experience as Strategic/Tactical Leader and Portfolio/Program/Project Management professional. Certified Change Management Professional (CCMP); Strategic Implementation Professional; Serves on Black/African American Diversity Business Network; Serves on Hispanic Diversity Business Network; Company Chairperson for 2010 and 2011 Latinas and Power Symposium, Greater Hartford CT; Certified SAFe Agile Practioner; Business Strategist.

Edwina G. Cogdell: Over 30 years' experience as an Organizational Development professional who leads teams, provides leadership coaching, develops individuals, facilitates courses, creates diversity and inclusion events, and improves work processes. Certified facilitator and trainer experienced with developing training material and delivering training for emotional intelligence, leadership, diversity, and communication for both for-profit and non-profit organizations. Educational accomplishments include Bachelor of Science in Business Administration; Bachelor of Science & Master of Science in Organizational Development; 2019 Doctoral Candidate in Organization Development.
