Starting a business remains very challenging to many aspiring entrepreneurs. In this workshop, participants will learn simple yet proven and tested steps for starting a new business.
Participants will learn and understand the following:
- Realities of entrepreneurship
- Critical success factors
- Components of Business Ownership
- Making Your Business Legal
Participants will have the opportunity to meet SCORE certified mentors who are readily available to provide FREE and CONFIDENTIAL mentoring.

Mr. Davenport started his career as a registered investment advisor on Wall Street. For 4+ decades Marc has been a trusted advisor, business strategist and financial consultant, delivering solutions to improve his client's operational performance and financial results. In 2005 he exited the securities industry to form his first company, Davenport Consulting, Inc.
Marc has been retained to source $400m in capital to launch startups and provide addtional capital for businesses ready to expand. Marc has been a frequent contributor to the Wilmington Journals "Hot Stock Tips" and "Ask the Experts" investment columns as well as market commentaries in several news publications.
Marc is a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc, Business mentor, SURE Program, Baur College of Business, University of Houston; Economic Development Chair, Missouri City NAACP, and member Board of Directors/Consultant, the Black Business Council- Montgomery Council.
