    Parish Development Forum 2019  

    For clergy and laity from Orthodox parishes in North A merica, the Parish Development Forum is a conference which explores the challenges, opportunities and solutions facing Orthodox parishes seeking to live a life in Christ in the 21st century North America.

    The Forum shares and propagates good practices of vibrant Orthodox parishes in America & stimulates their implementation.

     Co-sponsored by the OCA’s Archdiocese of Western Pennsylvania, Diocese of the Midwest and the Bulgarian Diocese, host parish for the 2018 Forum is St. John the Baptist Church Canonsburg PA.

    "Strengthening Our Witness to the Community: Growing & Sharing Our Faith; Welcoming Others".

      P arishes with a bright future commit to thriving, not merely surviving.  They retain what has worked well for them in the past, while also exploring how to emphasize new practices that can highlight the inherent beauty of the Orthodox faith. They reach out in love to their surrounding community

    Lectures, case studies, workshops and open discussion willenable Forum attendees to explore our theme.   

        The Forum Faculty includes:

    Who Should Attend?

    Clergy & lay leaders from Orthodox & Byzantine Catholic parishes of any size,  new or old are invited. Forum content is fresh for 2019.

    Register Early -- Space is Limited

     To maintain an intimate setting for thoughtful exchange among attendees the 2019 Forum attendance will be limited to 60 persons.

    The $100 per attendee registration fee includes  lunches, dinners, breaks, an attendee reception Friday night & conference materials.

    Attendee Cost Support

    Scholarships covering Forum registration and lodging are available to parishes from the host OCA dioceses (W. PA, Midwest and Bulgarian Diocese) Contact Joe Kormos, to determine eligibility.
