Eugene-Springfield River Guardians
Trashy Tuesday

Do you love clean water and healthy rivers?
Of course you do! Become a River Guardian - register today!

Please join Willamette Riverkeeper River Guardians on Trashy Tuesday, May 14, 2019 to help clear the recent debris deposted in riverside vegetation and cut banked areas due to the recent flood event. We'll be floating and picking up trash from Aspen and West D Boat Ramp in Springfield, to Alton Baker Park in Eugene and focus on areas under bridges and the south bank between UO and EWEB on properties not easily accessible by foot.

PLEASE MEET AT 8:15AM (boaters) at the West D Boat Ramp to shuttle our vehicles to Alton Baker. Turn south off Martin Luther King / Centennial Blvd. on Aspen and follow the gravel road past the upper parking area to the boat ramp. Non-boaters are welcome to meet at West D Boat Ramp and follow us to Alton Baker, or just park at Alton Baker boat ramp by 8:30AM and we will come pick you up and shuttle you to the put-in. This means your car will be waiting for you at the take out.

All BYOB paddlers must be able to adequately paddle in class 2 moving water. NO BOAT? NO WORRIES - your RSVP will reserve a seat in a raft or driftboat. Because we will be working from the water, PFDs are REQUIRED, and can be provided by Willamette Riverkeeper as indicated in the registration.

BRING snacks, water and appropriate layers for the weather. Please wear closed-toe shoes, long sleeves and pants. Gloves, pickers, garbage bags, tools, tarps will be provided.

Questions? Please contact organizer, Michelle Emmons at michelle@willametteriverkeeper.org or text 541-913-4318.
