Leveraging Social Media for Business Networking
This workshop will give participants the opportunity to explore new and existing technologies and leverage it to network with others in the industry to meet their business' needs.
1. The presenter will share best practices of how to leverage their social "low hanging fruit" to network with other individuals/businesses in their respective industry.
2. The presenter will share his personal journey in using social media to network with other industry members.
3. The Presenter will demonstrate to the participants how their existing social media apps, Linkedln, Facebook, Youtube, Shaper, etc., can be utilize for networking.
Presenter: Mfon J. Akpan Mfon Akpan had a successful career in banking at JP Morgan Chase. He earned his bachelors degree from IIT, masters degrees in business and accounting from Keller, and is a doctoral candidate in accounting at Argosy.
He is an adjunct professor at Robert Morris, Olive-Harvey, and Harold Washington and an active member of the American Accounting Association, the American Finance Association, and the National Association of Black Accountants, Assistant professor business at National Louis University.
