Understanding the Fundamentals of Business Financial Statements

Thursday August 8, 2019

Math Friendly? YES!

Financial statements are the music of business.  You don’t need to know how to compose them, but you do need to know how to read them.  You’ll learn how to read and interpret the Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement and a Break Even Analysis report.  In this workshop, designed for people with absolutely no background in accounting or finance, our expert financial advisor will walk you through the basics of these business essentials, step-by-step.  If you can do simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division on a calculator you’ll be good to go!

Workshop Objectives

  • Understand financial statements
  • Protecting the enterprise
  • How to use this information to analyze your business and your competitors
  • Preventing financial pitfalls
  • Knowing the difference between cash flow and profit
  • How to use key financial ratios to create projections

There will be several opportunities to ask questions and you will be provided with handouts to help you after the workshop.
