Adventures in Conservation:
Kayaking at Black Moshannon State Park
July 13
6:30 PM – 8:30 PM
Location: Black Moshannon State Park
Join us on Saturday, July 13th, for an evening of kayaking on the lake at Black Moshannon State Park. The 3,394 acre park is surrounded by more than 43,000 acres of state forest creating a wild setting that provides recreational opportunities in all seasons. Take in the warm summer sun, enjoy the views, and keep a lookout for busy beavers near the active beaver lodges!
Bart Beck of Tussey Mountain Outfitters will provide kayaks, paddles, and life jackets.
Please come prepared for the weather.
Water shoes, comfortable clothing, skin/eye protection, and a change of dry clothes are recommended. This event is well-suited for all experience levels, but we ask that anyone under the age of 13 is accompanied by an adult in a canoe. There is always a risk of flipping a boat which means some physical strength and swimming ability is required.
The cost of the event is $25 if a boat is needed. Have your own kayak or canoe? Great! You are welcome to join us at no cost.
