A Landscapes in Progress event will be held at the home of Christy & Leonard Dean. The Dean family purchased and moved into the home one year ago, located in Rising Fawn on Lookout Mountain.  It has beautiful scenic views on the East Brow.  They intend to preserve the property with native plants to promote a healthy environment for the ecosystem including, insects and animals.  The property is 10 acres on the brow and slopes downward.  There is a natural pond and creek that runs through the property.  At the event, attendees can help identify natives already established and also offer ideas for native landscaping on the bluff.  This is landscaping in progress, and you're welcome to join in the process. A light lunch will be provided at the conclusion of the garden visit.

This program is an opportunity for education, promotion and encouragement of native plant gardening, as well as Wild Ones member appreciation.  Rather than a traditional "garden tour" where everything is perfect, Landscapes in Progress is an event where members -- host and visitor -- can ask questions, share information about their own endeavors, and spend time with others dedicated to landscaping with native species.

Please bring your spouse or significant other!

Driving and parking directions will be sent to you closer to the date of the event.

This event is FREE for members of the Tennessee Valley Wild Ones.
