Many small business owners and entrepreneurs at some point in time look to borrow money to fund or expand their business operations. And when they do they face rejection and much confusion as to what qualifies them for a loan or where to go to seek financing.

This workshop is designed to explain the facts and dispel the fiction of responsible financing and securing business loans for startups as well as seasoned entrepreneurs. Our three guest speakers will cover with clarity and transparency what is required for various loans from $2,500 to $5,000,000.

Work Shop Moderator: Paul Vitello - Score Volunteer Mentor since 2017

As a small business owner for more than 30 years, Paul has a passion for coaching and mentoring entrepreneurs in areas of strategic growth, workflow optimization, cash flow management, employee/vendor relations, client service, and sales & marketing. Having started a creative service business in 1983 with an inherited entrepreneurial drive, sweat equity, and a mentor that provided an opportunity, he developed a film and television post-production company that grew to generate more than 2.5 million in annual sales.


Guest Speaker: Israel Nery, J.D.

Israel is the Assistant District Director of the US Small Business Administration, who deals with Lender Relations and International Trade.  As SCORE is the non-profit resource partner to the SBA, we rely on Israel to provide our mentors with the most up-to-date information on small business financing from $5,000 to $5,000,000.

Anna Maria is a loan officer for CDC Small Business Finance, a nonprofit with a passion for helping Main St. small businesses grow and create jobs. They offer a variety of low-interest financing from $20,000 to $250,000 that fit the needs of small businesses no matter where they are in the growth cycle.
