CSI Austin CDT Bootcamp
The Construction Documents Technology (CDT®) certification provides a comprehensive program of study for anyone seeking to enhance and demonstrate knowledge of writing, interpreting, enforcing and managing construction documents. The CDT is for anyone involved in the construction industry. Project architects, contractors, contract administrators, material suppliers, and manufacturers' representatives are all realizing the advantages of being Construction Documents Technologists.
The CSI Austin Bootcamp will be held at Terracon Consultant Inc. office, which they have graciously allowed us to use. The Bootcamp will be taught by Holly Jordan, FCSI, CCS, LEED AP and Peter Jordan, FCSI, CCS, AIA, SCIP, LEED AP.
Holly Jordan is the Director of Specifications and a Senior Associate at Perkins+Will. She has worked as a specification writer since at least 1998, with various firms including HOK. She is active in CSI, including previous positions as the Institute Director of the South Central Region, President of the Houston Chapter, and President of the South Central Region.
Peter Jordan is President of Jordan Consultants and a Registered Architect in the State of Texas. He has worked for architectural firms in Texas, Georgia, and Hawaii and taught at the School of Architecture at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. He produced his first project manual in 1979 and has been employed primarily as a specification writer since 1999.
The schedule is provided as follows:
- 7:30 am to 8:00 am - Sign-In and Breakfast
- 8:00 am - Class Begins
- 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm - Lunch
- 5:00+ pm - Class Ends. Please plan to stay until the class' completion.
Participants will receive 8 AIA credits through Austin CSI. Participants must attend the whole session to receive credits. Sign in sheet will be available at each break period. No partial credits will be given.
The registration fees are provided as follows:
- FREE for current full-time students. Please select during registration. You will be contacted to provide proof of enrollment.
- $75 for early registration.
- $100 after August 21, 2019.
Breakfast, lunch, coffee, and snacks will be provided with the cost of registration.
Course materials will NOT be provided. Participants should plan on purchasing at minimum the Project Delivery Practice Guide (PDPG) and CDT Study Workbook 2019, both availabe at this link. We also recommend you download the free CSI CDT Study Workbook.
