Brigadier General Chad T, Manske – USAF will discuss America’s national defense.
Speaker Profile:
Brigadier General Chad T. Manske, is the 30th Commandant of the National War College, Fort Lesley J. McNair, Washington D.C. - responsible for formulating academic policies, supervising curriculum planning & preparation. Brig Gen Manske has commanded the 7th Airlift Squadron, McChord AFB; the 385th Air Expeditionary Group, Incirlik AB, Turkey; the 100th Air Refueling Wing, Royal Air Force Mildenhall, England: and the 406th Air Expeditionary Wing, Moron Air Base, Spain. He is a command pilot with over 3,800 hours.in multiple types of aircraft. Brig Gen Manske has deployed in Central and Southwest Asia as an air expeditionary wing commander in operations Odyssey Dawn and Unified Protector. His joint assignments include Special Assistant to the Commander US Joint Forces Command/Supreme Allied Commander, Transformation, Deputy Director and Director, USCENTCOM Deployment & Distribution Operations Center, Kuwait & Component Commander 1 Canadian Air Division.
Brig Gen Manske graduated with a BA in political science and pre-law from Michigan State University, has a Masters of Aeronautical Science from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, a Masters of Military Operational Art and Science from the Air Command and Staff College and a Masters of Airpower Art and Science from the School of Advanced Airpower studies, Maxwell AFB, AL. He was a National Defense Fellow at Harvard University in the Weatherhead Center for International Affairs, a senior Military Fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations in New York, NY, and completed the Harvard Kennedy School US-Russia Security Program from the Elliott School at George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
His personal awards and decorations include the Defense Superior Service Medal (with bronze oak leaf cluster), the Legion of Merit, Defense Meritorious Service Medal (with two oak leave clusters) Meritorious Service Medal (with four bronze oak leaf clusters), Air Medal (with oak leaf cluster), Aerial Achievement Medal (with silver oak leaf cluster), Air Force Commendation Medal, and the Canadian Armed Forces Meritorious Service Medal.
