This is Part 2 of a 2 part class reserved for Grant Writing Workshop students who participated in the class onTuesday, October 1.
Starting with Grant writing (first class) this class will provide training for community members, program directors, nonprofit staff and leaders in nonprofit businesses. The focus of this presentation will continue to support nonprofit startups and staff and leadership existing nonprofits.
Each participate will bring their completed simplified grant template to class for added support and group writing. The template is modified from the Simplified Grantwriting book by Mary Ann Burke published by Corwin Press. Added grantwriting support will be provided in class through small group networking, peer editing reviews, and through a mock grant review process.

About The SpeakerMary Ann Burke Mary Ann Burke has served as a credentialed parent educator and fund development adjunct professor for over thirty years in California schools. She is the author of four Corwin Press Books on parent and community engagement in schools. Her Simplified Grantwriting book highlights how nonprofits and others can use grants to obtain needed resources. Dr. Burke previously led the Santa Clara County Office of Education’s Parent Engagement Initiative that serves as a state model for best practices in parent engagement for culturally diverse families. She holds a doctorate in Educational Leadership and Administration from the University of Southern California.
