Bianca Pratorius and her husband purchased their property and moved to Tennessee from Miami in July 2018. They own a total of 21 acres of mixed forest with about 3 acres cleared for the house. They are currently in the process of removing invasives and re-establishing a very overgrown large pond behind the house, as well as a smaller pond in the front of the house. Their goal for now is to turn a large area of lawn behind the house into a native wildflower meadow and introduce as many native plants to the property as possible. In the future they would like to re-establish their apiary and create a fruit tree orchard and other areas of food production.

This program is an opportunity for education, promotion and encouragement of native plant gardening, as well as Wild Ones member appreciation.  Rather than a traditional "garden tour" where everything is perfect, Landscapes in Progress is an event where members -- host and visitor -- can ask questions, share information about their own endeavors, and spend time with others dedicated to landscaping with native species.

Please bring your spouse or significant other!

Driving and parking directions will be sent to you closer to the date of the event.

This event is FREE for members of the Tennessee Valley Wild Ones.
