Please join us for an afternoon with Michele Norrisaward-winning journalist and first African American female host of NPR's All Things Considered, our next guest in the Speakers Who Inspire series. Norris is also the creator of The Race Card Project, which encourages people to explain their thoughts on the word "Race" in six words. The project has become a worldwide movement, collecting thoughts and reflections from a diverse global audience.

Norris's book The Grace of Silence explores the hidden conversations in America regarding race and investigates her own family's complicated racial story. Throughout her work, she encourages us not only to think about the past but to consider how what is spoken and unspoken can shape our futures.

Copies of The Grace of Silence will be available for purchase and signing by the author.

Michele Norris is a Peabody Award-winning journalist, founder of The Race Card Project and Executive Director of The Bridge, The Aspen Institute’s new program on race, identity, connectivity and inclusion.
