Coordinator Roundtable:
Organizing Neighborhood Prayer Walks
Saturday, October 12, 2019
9:30 am to 12:00 pm
The George Mercer School of Theology
65 Fourth Street
Garden City, NY 11530
With the goal of strengthening your impact or encouraging your resolve as a ministry leader, Roundtables hosted by Episcopal Ministries are essentially food & fellowship meetings that have a goal of helping members of our diocese engage with their counterparts and explore new ideas (as well as barriers) in ministry development. They are a place for renewal as well as a place to collaborate and learn from shared experiences of others. This Coordinator Roundtable will include focused conversation on the topic of Neighborhood Prayer Walks.
Neighborhood prayer walks can be a powerful way to support the spiritual growth or transformation of a church and its surrounding community. Your congregation is poised and ready to organize Prayer Walks if you have been asking these questions:
Setting out to explore your neighborhood is a flexible and adaptable process and not dependent on a program or rigid process, but some useful guidelines have been published that will be shared during this meeting.
We are delighted to announce that this Roundtable will be facilitated by the Rev. Joanne Izzo, who is an Episcopal priest in the Episcopal Diocese of New York. Rev. Joanne is certified in interim ministry, serves as a priest in charge as well as retreat facilitator consultant and trainer in EDNY, EDLI, EDNJ and EDPA.
Please join us for a light breakfast, fellowship and meaningful conversation that supports your work.
Reserve your place at the table today!
